這是一首由移民至新大陸堪薩斯州之

海格利(Dr. Brewster Higley)及唐凱利(Dan Kelly)於1873年所作，

因旋律優美，歌詞內容反映早期移民者之情境，

於1947年被定為阿肯色州之州歌，亦被稱為牛仔之國歌。
